I am a British Army Veteran, former Private Military Contractor, and Bodyguard. My career placed me at the intersection of security, conflict, and power structures—experiences that continue to shape the way I see the world.
Today, I write as a social commentator and cultural critic. My work is grounded in lived experience, sharpened by resilience, and driven by a determination to challenge assumptions.
My journey began in a hospital bed, where writing became my lifeline. Over eleven months, I found a voice in journaling that paved the way for my blog, connecting my challenges to broader insights.
In 2023, my life was abruptly redefined. A sudden collapse led to the discovery of a brain aneurysm which later ruptured, requiring emergency surgery. I survived against the odds, but not unchanged.
Now living with lasting neurological damage, partial blindness, hearing loss, seizures, chronic pain, and life in a wheelchair, I also carry the weight of PTSD, Fibromyalgia, and Functional Neurological Disorder. These overlapping conditions did not silence me—they sharpened my perspective.
What began as a rehabilitation journal became my platform: a space to write, reflect, and speak on truths that too often go unspoken.
Rather than a traditional business venture, this site and my writing have naturally evolved from life's unpredictable twists. Through sharing my experiences, I hope to inspire, motivate, and challenge others. We all face our own obstacles, and by opening up about mine, I aim to guide others in building resilience and embracing personal growth. I delve into intricate themes of masculinity, resilience, and social commentary. Connect with me through engaging storeys reflecting personal experiences. With a focus on lived experience, my writing provides a unique lens into themes like masculinity and resilience. I am dedicated to offering insightful narratives that encourage readers to reflect deeply on their lives, fostering a space for authentic discussion and personal growth.
I work at the intersection of personal experience and wider societal issues. My core areas include:
I describe my approach simply:
Masculinity without posturing
Disability without pity
Society—seen from the edge
Truths most prefer to avoid
This is not memoir, diary, or therapy. It is commentary—shaped by survival, discipline, and a refusal to fade into silence.
I do not write for recognition. I write to confront, to challenge, and to connect. If my words make one person think differently, feel less isolated, or see the world from a new angle, then they have achieved their purpose.
Alongside my writing and commentary, I also work as a Disability & Accessibility Consultant, helping organisations and institutions understand resilience, inclusion, and accessibility from the perspective of lived experience.
